Only one resolution for me in 2012: I will take back ownership of my writing.
I still believe in traditional publishing, absolutely, but no longer will my sense of self as a writer be inextricably linked to how others behave.
Whether it is traditional paper and ink press, e-publishing, or self-publishing, I believe 2012 will be the year when writers decide to do what is best for them.
Writers are the most important aspect of the literary world and it is about time we started to remember that.
So here's to an awesome 2012, filled with books, books, and more precious books!
